Naruto, Ch. 465

Spoilers, naturally. If you don't read the manga, read this at your own peril.

While certainly there were numerous... parts in that chapter that either sought to be redundant(like Evil Sasuke(who is evil) evilly being evil and evilly doing evil acts of EVIL) or made little sense, there's one thing that stands out above them all, since it contradicts something from WAAAAAAY back when Sasuke actually behaved normally (yeah, it was THAT long ago.)

Mizukage has a Bloodline Limit.
And not just any Bloodline Limit, but the Yoton, the Lava Element, which is fairly blatantly fire/earth. Mind you, she did spit said lava, so maybe we'll get some bullshit explanation about how it's actually water/fire or something equally inane. That's the not the problem, though. Personally, I think it's a good idea to give the characters elements which aren't what you'd expect based on their country of origin. Giving them something other than lightning for Kumo-nin, earth for Iwa-nin, water for Kiri-nin, etc.
No, that's not the problem.
The problem is that it was explicitly stated in not one, but TWO character origin stories that Kirigakure hated Bloodline Limits. In fact, it was quite a big part of those characters' development: Had Kiri NOT borne such antipathy towards Bloodlines, these two would not have been subjected the spirit-crushing persecution they experienced as young children.
In case you don't remember, I'm talking about Haku(and hes infinitely confusing gender. The flame wars still rage over hir to this day) and Orochimaru's previous willing bitch, Kimimaro.
So, we have a person with a Bloodline Limit both in charge of and apparently well-liked by a village which has been stated to hate Bloodline users. I can think of three words to apply to this situation, and there's not a W or an F anywhere in sight.

So, like the Mood icon says, I'm not impressed with Mstr. Kishimoto. Not unless he can come up with a good explanation for why Ms. Smoking-Hot-Christmas-Cake is running Kirigakure.
Based on the events of this chapter, I don't think that's going to happen.
