Chapter 7... Sort ofAh, D-ranks. Kakashi had almost forgotten what those were like. Dull make-work that helped teach teamwork to new teams. It also helped to serve as an effective disillusionment device. True, as a ninja, you did have to fight, and it was inevitable that at some point you would have to kill, but most of the time? Being a ninja could be boring, especially during peace-time. Stake-outs, guard duty for paranoid rich people, long-distance border patrols...
